SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR

The Special Education Instructor will be working to advocate for MMF students with needs. They will collaborate with the entire instructional team to find equitable solutions for achieving the appropriate learning outcomes. 

Key competencies and responsibilities 

  • Must have at least a bachelor's degree in special education OR a Special Education Credential with the Florida Department of Education. 

  • SPED Paraprofessionals are welcome to apply for this position.  

  • Must have experience with a variety of student needs.  

  • Some student needs may include chronic illness, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, etc.  

  • Able to find creative and equitable ways to help modify activities for SPED students.  

  • Familiarity with music and theatre is a plus! 

Dates 

Must be available and on-site for half days from June 10th – July 26th. The SPED instructor will work 5 hours a day between the hours of 10 AM – 6 PM 

The onsite hours will alternate. The SPED instructor & Youth Program Director will work to develop a schedule that best fits the student's needs.  

Must be on-site and available for all dress rehearsals.  

Must be available and on-site on July 26th until 11 PM for the final performance.
