We are seeking a talented and motivated Photography Intern to join our team and assist in capturing, editing, and posting photographs of all concerts, masterclasses, and selected special events at the discretion of the Executive Artistic Director. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event photography and social media content creation. The ideal candidate should have a passion for photography, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have experience in photographing live concerts including but not limited to, opera, orchestral, voice recitals, chamber concerts, and lectures.

  • Applicants must also be able to set up, operate, tear down, and store photography equipment.

  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos during church services, events, and special occasions

  • Edit and enhance captured images and footage to produce compelling visual content

  • Create engaging content for various social media platforms

  • Assist in developing creative concepts for visual storytelling projects

Tasks: Tasks include setting up photography equipment, storing equipment safely, SD Card uploading/clearing, and teaching other interns/work-studies how to operate the equipment if prompted. The Intern may be asked to photograph during rehearsals and will be interacting with staff and faculty to coordinate it during live rehearsals. Applicants may be asked to gather photos from several rehearsals or concerts located on and off campus at various times.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant degree program (e.g., Photography, Visual Arts, Communications).

  • Proficient in digital photography techniques and equipment, including DSLR cameras and lenses.

  • Familiarity with photo editing software, particularly Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

  • Strong creative vision and artistic skills, with an eye for detail and composition.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends.

  • Portfolio showcasing previous event photography work is highly preferred.

Compensation:
PAID INTERNSHIP – MMF offers a $250 per week stipend on top of fulfilling college credit requirements from most major universities.
