Anton Nel, Pianist
Tuseday, June 20, 2017 @ 7:30 PM

Acclaimed concert pianist Anton Nel brings to South Florida an exquisitely balanced, nuanced program of piano repertoire spanning from the late classical to modern period. The program will open with the elegance of song cycles by Debussy, and Schumann, including Debussy’s immortal Suite Bergamesque with its famed moonlit vignette Claire de lune, and end with a triumphant finale of Beethoven’s Waldstein Sonata, an ode to the coming sunrise. Nel is an in-demand concertizing pianist, as well a professor of piano and Endowed Chair of Piano and Keyboard Studies at the Butler School of Music, University of Texas at Austin.
