Participants awarded an Opera/Conductor's Orchestra Fellowship receive a full fellowship (tuition and housing). Fellowship students receive one chamber coaching per week, three private lessons over the course of the festival, and retain all opportunities to participate in master classes and the MMF Concerto Competition.
Additional duties as an Opera/Conductor's Orchestra Fellow include serving as the primary players for the Opera Institute productions and Conducting Institute program, including mainstage and chamber opera performances, and orchestral readings and a conductor's institute concert.
As a Fellow, duties for the opera and conducting orchestras take priority; fellows MAY be asked to play in a symphonic concert, if needed.
