The Miami Music Festival is seeking two stage managers (non-equity) for the 2017 festival from June 1st-July 31st. These positions will be in charge of production and organization of five fully staged productions throughout the 8-week festival. All mainstage operas are full-productions complete with a professional team of stage directors, designers, costumers and an orchestra in the Broad Theatre (970-seat proscenium theater with an orchestra pit.)
This position will coordinate production staff and report to the Artist Director and Production Manager.
- Stage Management experience for fully staged operas preferred.
Knowledge of light board operation, stage managers console, fly rail, technical theater
Knowledge of organizing and planning with artistic/technical staff
Knowledge of basic theater safety procedures
Ability to organize and adhere to complex schedules
Professional communication ability
Ability to manage a staff/interns, and work with a Director of Production
Knowledge of stage management paperwork
Ability to train ASM's
