Pianist Jeremy Frank is an Assistant Conductor and the Associate Chorus Master at LA Opera. He has assisted renowned Maestros James Conlon, Stephen Lord, Carlo Rizzi, Patrick Summers, Grant Gershon and Plácido Domingo, among others. Mr. Frank has regularly worked at Wolf Trap Opera Company, and in 2013 prepared Wagner’s Ring cycle at Seattle Opera. He also assists in the preparation of operas and vocal chamber music at the LA Philharmonic. Mr. Frank has appeared in recital with David Daniels, Eric Owens, Brandon Jovanovich, Rodell Rosell, Delora Zajick, Kate Lindsey and Sondra Radvanovsky. He also performed with Joyce DiDonato at the 54thGRAMMY Awards, the first time the ceremony featured a performance by a classical singer.
Dedicated to the development of young and emerging artists, Mr. Frank is a member of the faculty of the Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program at LA Opera. He has been a guest faculty member for the young artist programs at Utah Opera and Seattle Opera, and a guest coach at the University of Southern California. In 2012, Mr. Frank was invited by the American Embassy in Russia to teach masterclasses and perform concerts with members of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Institute in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 2015, under the patronage of Anna Netrebko, he also prepared the German-language premiere of Sergei Banevich's fairy-tale opera "Die Schneekönigin" at the Esterhazy Palace in Austria.
Mr. Frank is a graduate of the Houston Grand Opera Studio, where he was the Schissler Foundation Fellow. He received his Master of Music degree in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and earned a Specialist Degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music from the University of Michigan, where he was a student of Martin Katz.
