Audio & Visual Intern
Seasonal Position: Internships are offered for both sessions. Applicants are encouraged to intern for both sessions to gain the most out of their internship, but it is not required.
Session One: June 6 – July 1, 2018
Session Two: July 4 – July 29, 2018.

The Miami Music Festival is looking for two Audio & Visual Interns for the 2018 Season. These interns will be in charge of recording all concerts, masterclasses, and selected special events at the discretion of the Executive Artistic Director. The AV Interns will also be working with uploading to our servers and doing video editing on Final Cut Pro. These interns will record and edit professional audio and video recordings for the MMF archives, and promotional items. The AV Interns will also facilitate recording responsibilities to other Interns and Work-Study students on a daily basis.

Requirements: Applicants must have experience in recording live concerts including but not limited to, opera, orchestral, voice recitals, chamber concerts, and lectures. Applicants must also be able to set-up, operate, and tear-down and store recording equipment (stationary and manned). applicants must have experience in video editing on Final Cut Pro. Applicants with experience in microphone placement (Piano and orchestra), set-up, storage, Facebook Live, pit orchestras or opera are encouraged to apply.
Tasks: Task include setting up equipment, securing all cables to rules and regulations of the venue, recording (Stationary & Manned cameras), Breaking down equipment, equipment storage, SD Card uploading/clearing, and teaching other interns/work-studies how to operate equipment if prompted. The AV Intern may be asked to record promotional video in rehearsals and will be interacting with staff and faculty to coordinate it during live rehearsals. Applicants may be asked to gather video from several rehearsals or concerts located on and off campus at various times.

PAID INTERNSHIP– Based on Experience. College credit. On-campus housing provided at a discounted rate.
