AGMA - or the American Guild of Musical Artists - is the official labor organization or “union” that represents America's operatic, choral and dance organizations. You may choose to learn more about AGMA by visiting their website. The MMF Opera Institute assigns curriculum based on a participant’s role classification. All students assigned a role are considered an Apprentice Artist. Those students who are assigned a “BIT” role will receive additional daily lectures and master classes with instruction in language, diction, recitative, performance practice, and score study, as well as participate in an Opera Scenes Program to further supplement their studies.
